In 2002 Ron published his first book, Len Castle Potter, which won the Illustrative Category of the 2003 Montana Book Awards. Ron Sang Publications has been described as a publishing company with an emphasis on the celebration of excellence in human artistic endeavours.

A second book, Michael Smither Painter was published in November 2004. It was shortlisted as one of the three finalists in the Illustrative Category of the 2005 Montana Book Awards.

Now, two more books will be launched in 2008.

A definitive book on Ralph Hotere with essays by Kriselle Baker and Vincent O'Sullivan will be added to the collection.

The art of John Drawbridge will be celebrated with essays by Dr. Damian Skinner and Robert Macdonald. This book is also available through www.southcoastgallery.co.nz
